FloQast, an accounting workflow automation SaaS provider created by accountants for accountants, announced the close of their $110M Series D, led by Meritech! This funding round values the company at $1.2B, making FloQast LA’s newest unicorn. FloQast told Built In LA that they plan to use their new funds to double their headcount and to expand their roster of global partners. From writing the first check in 2013 to this milestone, we are incredibly proud to continue supporting FloQast as they build the best suite of tools for accounting teams everywhere.

Tapcart, a SaaS platform enabling eCommerce companies to launch and manage branded mobile apps, announced their $50M series B led by Left Lane Capital. Tapcart saw recurring revenue increase by 3x, as mobile apps grew even faster during the pandemic, opening up many new opportunities for growth. Shopify also joined investors in the latest round, saying, “Tapcart helps merchants create mobile-first shopping experiences that customers love, reinforcing Shopify’s mission to make commerce better for everyone.” With the new funding, Tapcart plans to invest heavily in their insights and analytics products, and to create even more effective ways for brands to engage and grow their audiences on mobile.

RentSpree, an online rental application and tenant screening platform, recently announced $8M in Series A funding. RentSpree now services over 600,000 users and has nearly quadrupled monthly renters since previously closing its Seed round last year. With their new funding they will continue to enhance collaboration between renters, agents, and owners, and ultimately provide the definitive platform that connects and completes all pieces of the rental journey.

Ready Set Food!, closed a $3.5M Seed round on the heels of new guidance that parents introduce their children to allergenic foods when they’re just four months old. Early allergen introduction is crucial as 1 in 13 babies develops a food allergy each year, according to data from the nonprofit Food and Allergy Research Education. Ready, Set, Food! plans to roll out a new line of snack foods by the end of the year making it even easier to prevent children from developing food allergies later in life.

Candid, a SaaS platform helping retailers sell wholesale online, raised a $2M seed round. As part of the announcement, we wrote a deeper dive into the future of wholesale and why we decided to back Candid (read the full article here). The size of the wholesale opportunity, and the lagging adoption and availability of modern infrastructure throughout the wholesale ecosystem are part of why we’re thrilled to work with the team behind Candid. Candid is making online wholesale as simple and effective as direct-to-consumer ecommerce — the best platform to start, grow, and run wholesale online.
